Personal Summary

I live in Yorkshire but work across the EMEA region. Having started out in life as a Coldstream Guardsman I finally chose to move into the recruitment industry and have been here ever since.

A keen social media explorer and blogger, admittedly one of those who sometimes struggles with the golden rules and takes risks to write what I believe. This stems from my immense belief in free speech, democracy and the right to challenge anything in a constructive, non-abusive and offensive manner.

Professional Summary

Almost 20 years in the recruitment industry and a witness to the good and the bad developments across the sector. An open and honest critic of many of these so called advancements on the basis that I believe fastidiously that people are an organisations greatest asset. So why do most companies still recruit the same way today as they did 20+ years ago and insist on replicating the same mistakes in their hiring process? The sad thing here is that people have become more and more of a commodity and less and less a human being in the process.

Having worked extensively across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia as both an agency side and in-house recruiter, I have unique skill sets and experiences when recruiting and building teams in new or emerging markets for companies in the technology and banking space.

Specific sectors of expertise are sales, technical and senior management appointments for Retail Technology Solutions* and Payment Services operations in the EMEA region.


Avid traveler and walker, the weirder and more bizarre the better. I would rather be on foot in Rwanda than in a 5* hotel in Dubai. I prefer a cold beer in a beach shack with the locals to some commercially fashionable beverage in a cut glass with ice crystals.

Arsenal fan, a positive, optimistic one that devoutly trusts the club to have the professional wisdom and commercial nounce to ensure that we succeed with integrity and style.
