Police recruitment ad #fail
Edinburgh police tweeted a 'looking for a new job?' recruitment ad with a picture of Jeremy Clarkson and Zayn from One Direction. After several angry responses from Twitter users they apologised and removed it.

For most companies it would have been a good strategy, it's quite funny and topical. Why did it backfire for the Police? Those who complained pointed out that the Clarkson hoohar involved assault and it wasn't appropriate for the police to be making light of it.

Context is everything.
