'Name blind' recruitment
The CBI, a business lobby group, has suggested that names should be removed from job applications to combat unconscious bias in the recruitment process.
Is it is simple as someone's name? What about other clues, unconscious or otherwise, that will be a part of someone's CV ranging from where they went to school to what their interests are. If it was as simple as a name then there would be no issues to be biased about, surely?
